Cage Cleaning & Maintenance Service
This service focuses on maintaining a sterile and organized environment, which is critical for preventing respiratory issues and bacterial infections in birds.
1. Daily Surface Maintenance
• Liner Replacement: Removing soiled paper or substrate and replacing it with fresh, bird-safe lining.
• Spot Cleaning: Wiping down perches, bars, and grate surfaces that have been soiled by droppings or food throughout the day.
2. Deep Sanitation
• Disinfection: Periodically scrubbing the entire cage structure using avian-safe disinfectants (such as F10 or a diluted vinegar solution) to eliminate pathogens.
• Debris Removal: Vacuuming or sweeping the "seed guard" area and the floor surrounding the cage to remove feathers, dander, and discarded husks.
3. Accessory Hygiene
• Perch Care: Scraping and cleaning wood or rope perches to remove accumulated waste, ensuring the bird’s feet stay healthy and free of "bumblefoot."
• Toy Rotation & Cleaning: Washing toys and rotating them to keep the environment stimulating while ensuring they are free of grime.
4. Safety Inspection
• Structural Check: Inspecting for loose bars, chipped paint, or sharp edges that could cause injury.
• Toy Integrity: Checking for frayed ropes, loose bells, or broken plastic parts that could pose a choking hazard or entanglement risk.
